Unfortunately it seems I will have to install Aura for Icue to recognize the motherboard. I will still probably have to end up doing fresh windows install to get rid of asus programs. At this point I will probably return Gskills ram, pay a bit extra for Corsair ram and have Icue control everything. Yes, I can probably get it all working again by doing fresh windows install, but I feel that it can break at any time and I will have to redo it all over again. After that it was 7 hours of installing reinstalling crate, then i decided to try Aura, then I decided to try Gskill RGB.then i realized these programs have fucked my windows because they dont have clean uninstaller. After that I noticed ram did not have the colors I initially selected so I went back and opened armour crate and i see that it no longer recognizing ram.

I was overclocking my video card, got blue screen, turned off pc and held power button to drain battery and restarted. Initially it recognized everything and was working. I did fresh windows install on a new build, ROG 570 Hero/3900x, 32gb of TridentZ Neo RGB ram, latest bios, installed AMD chipset and then armour crate. I actually never installed it until I started having issues with Armour Crate. I looked and have tested almost all the apps out there, but nothing got my eye the way Argus Monitor did, this is a fine app for temp monitoring and fan controlling, with very nice set of features. So I am going to set the RGB like of my choice and hopefully never have to open it again. So I have a Asus B450i board, that means that SpeedFan will not work with my board since the app seems to have lost any active development in the recent years. Unlike with Armour Crate, Aura did not raise my idle voltages tho. So I try Aura instead, it recognized motherboard and ram immediately. I run restore and I am back to 1.1v idle. Next I check my idle voltage for the CPU and its stuck at 1.4 again.not good If the fan is getting noisy, you need to figure out why, rather than turn it off. I created restore point before installing Armour Crate, installed Armour crate which immediately recognized the motherboard and ram.good. Answer (1 of 3): It might be possible (maybe a BIOS setting), but definitely not recommended.

So upon fresh windows install the cores would idle at 0.9v and after installing majority of software and games I use and run in the background it would idle at 1.1v. So I decided to do a fresh windows installation and monitor core idle voltage after each software install to see what was keeping the cores active. For the past few days I noticed that 2 out of the 12 cores where stuck at 4.1ghz all the time and at idle I would sit at 1.4v. Usually Zen 2 processors or 3900x specifically in my case idle at 0.9-1.1v and ramp up to 1.4v or above when under use. WTF Asus?ĮDIT 2: In addition to the above issues Armour Crate prevented the CPU cores from idling. I am now able to control ASUS RGB lights via Icue, but NOT via Armour Crate. I just can't understand how you can't afford decent fucking dev team to write you software?ĮDIT: Decided to install Icue and see if it works. Installing, uninstalling and cleaning up your fucking shitty installers by scourging registry and windows files because your programs can't event uninstall their own shit.

Over 7 hours I wasted trying to get Armoury Crate or Aura to control recognize RAM and motherboard RGB.
